Dorothy Cornish, Preschool Aide

Dorothy was born and raised in St. Louis, MO where she graduated from a Lutheran  grade school and Lutheran High School.  She earned an associate degree in elementary education from St. John’s College, Winfield, KS.  Moving to Omaha found her teaching Kindergarten, grades 1,2, and 3 at Hope Lutheran School for 4 years. She, and husband Vern raised three children while she was director/teacher of the preschool at St. Paul Lutheran School for 22 years.  For the last 10 years she has been either director, substitute teacher, aide, or volunteer at Lamb of God.

She enjoys her four  grandchildren, singing in the choir at Pacific Hills Lutheran Church, of which she’s been a member for 35 years, singing in the German American Choir, quilting, and deep water exercise.

Dorothy feels that the Lord has led her to work with young children leading them to know Jesus as their best friend.
