Dorothy was born and raised in
St. Louis,
MO where she graduated from a Lutheran grade school and
Lutheran
High School. She earned an associate degree in elementary education from
St. John’s
College,
Winfield,
KS. Moving to
Omaha found her teaching Kindergarten, grades 1,2, and 3 at
Hope
Lutheran
School for 4 years. She, and husband Vern raised three children while she was director/teacher of the preschool at
St. Paul
Lutheran
School for 22 years. For the last 10 years she has been either director, substitute teacher, aide, or volunteer at Lamb of God.
She enjoys her four grandchildren, singing in the choir at
Pacific
Hills
Lutheran
Church, of which she’s been a member for 35 years, singing in the German American Choir, quilting, and deep water exercise.
Dorothy feels that the Lord has led her to work with young children leading them to know Jesus as their best friend.
